Equipped with a unique patented groove on the inner perimeter, the bar fits the tongue and groove braces, making them keyable, just like the corners.  Not only is this the most solidly built canvas on the market, each canvas comes with a serial number, which can be entered into the Fine Art Registry; allowing the artist to prove provenance of the canvas at any time.

Our Shasta Cotton is 15 oz., 100% cotton. 4X means it’s sized and primed with 3 coats of high-grade acrylic gesso and appropriate for all artists’ paints. This surface is tightly woven, and super resilient against the most active brush strokes, palette knife work and heavy layers of impasto.
Heavy Linen is the finest hand primed linen on the market. This linen has an even hand and traditional texture to hold your paint and make brushwork a dream. The Heavy Weight Acrylic Primed Linen is 5X primed with 3 coats of high-grade acrylic gesso and 2 archival sizing coats.
The Heavy Weight Oil Primed Linen is 4X primed with 2 coats of oil primer and 2 archival sizing coats.
Also available is Portrait Smooth Linen, so called because it goes through an extra finishing technique to create an ultra smooth and silky painting surface. Minimal texture makes this canvas perfect for highly detailed and photorealistic work, as the brush hairs won’t get displaced by nubs in the linen. The Portrait Smooth Acrylic Primed Linen is 5X primed with 3 coats of high-grade acrylic gesso and 2 archival sizing coats.
The Portrait Smooth Oil Primed Linen is 6X primed with 4 coats of oil primer and 2 archival sizing coats.
