Introducing Liz Reid, (First Manager of Genesis Art Supply),
Returning as the Newest Member of the Art Supply Team

I’m excited to introduce myself to you and announce that I’ve returned to the art supply industry to Genesis Art Supply store at Western and Fullerton. I chose to return here due to their tradition of providing caring customer service, an extensive product selection, discounted prices, and a family owned operation that’s expanding both in the retail store and on the internet….a wonderful opportunity for all!

Some of you may recall that I was the very first store manager of Genesis, back in 1989, or may remember me from my work at Sheldon’s, Chicago’s Artist Warehouse, or managing Creative World, or commercial sales work at Charrette. I have years of experience in customer service management and as an account manager who excels in meeting the needs of clients and developing close relationships within the art, design and drafting supply industry.  Essential to my work is ensuring customer satisfaction and succeeding in providing you with just the right supplies for your project at the best price available.

We have been serving the artists and teachers of the Chicagoland area since 1989. Artists and teachers know that they can come in  and will be treated in a relaxed and friendly, manner with sales staff that are knowlegable and dedicated..

The owner of Genesis ,Richard ,is the son of Sheldon who ran "Sheldons Art Supplies" with many stores in the downtown area from 1946-1989.

Richard,Lucy and Jamie worked at  Sheldons until it closed in 1989 , then Richard opened Genesis Art Supplies. They both bring a wealth of knowledge about the art materials field to ArtSupply.Com.

Robert, our webmaster, started working in art supply sales in 1987. In 1989, he helped set up the Genesis Art Supply Store and in 2003, he set the Genesis online store. ArtSupply.Com.

Gustavo, David, Alex, Leslie,Jenna, and Adrianne,are working artists and art students who share their practical knowledge and hands on use of the art materials . David and Gustavo are bilingual and assist our Spanish speaking customers. Lucy  also speaks Russian and Latvian.

We think we have a great team at ArtSupply.Com, and we like what we do. We cultivate a relaxed working non-corporate atmosphere and find satisfaction in getting our customers the materials they need to express their inspirations.
