Radu Vero was born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1926. He received a B.A. in Architecture from the Bucharest Institute of Architecture and is also a student of philosophy and the fine arts. He emigrated from Romania to Israel in 1961 and came to the United States in 1973. Vero is considered one of the top five medical and scientific conceptual illustrators in the United States and has been the recipient of three awards for excellence in book illustration. He is active in the fields of architectural design, medical illustration, and electronic communication advertising. He is credited for the discovery of a new set of curves, called cubals, in analytic geometry and is the author of Understanding Perspective , published by Van Nostrand Reinhold. Vero was recently the recipient of the Vargas award for excellence in the airbrush field.
