 GOLDEN Mediums are tools that can be manipulated by artists to achieve a great variety of effects and expressions. Even though acrylic colors are offered in various different consistencies and finishes, the use of mediums in conjunction with such colors will broaden the working properties and expand on the possible results.

GOLDEN Mediums can be thought of as colorless paints, as they are composed of similar polymers as are the acrylic paints. They are the "glue" or binder that dry to form continuous, durable films. They are made of 100% acrylic polymers which have proven to have excellent flexibility and chemical, water and ultraviolet radiation resistance.

Gels and Varnishes

MSA (Mineral Spirit Acrylic) Gel
MSA (Mineral Spirit Acrylic) Gel dries to a semi-rigid film with limited flexibility, having excellent dust and mar resistance, along with exceptional exterior durability. Once dried, the MSA Gel remains soluble in mineral spirits. MSA Gel can be used to modify GOLDEN MSA Colors or mixed with linseed oil to decrease the drying time. Health Labeled (HL) Product. Not for use by children.

Hard MSA (Mineral Spirit Acrylic) varnish
Hard MSA (Mineral Spirit Acrylic varnish with UVLS (UltraViolet Light Stabilizers) is a Mineral Spirit-borne Acrylic resin system. It dries to a rigid, non-flexible finish, having excellent dust and mar resistance, along with exceptional exterior durability. The UVLS system provides excellent ultraviolet protection to surfaces. Once dried, the MSA varnish may be removed with mineral spirits. Available in Gloss, Matte and Satin. Health Labeled (HL) Product.
Not for use by children.
