A Non Toxic Approach to Oil Painting
Walnut Oil Preferred by artists for over five centuries, free flowing
Walnut Oil gives the artist greater freedom and control over their color
without the addition of solvents. Revival of this fine oil has allowed
the creation of a contemporary professional oil color with extremely high
concentrations of pigment, freedom from discoloration and superior handling
properties. Walnut oil is a pale yellow-brown oil (when newly made it's
a pale oil with a greenish tinge) that has a distinctive smell. As it's
a thin oil, it's used to make oil paint more fluid. As it yellows less
than linseed oil (but more than safflower oil) it's good for pale colors.
Walnut oil dries in four or five days. It's an expensive oil and must
be stored correctly otherwise it goes rancid (off). Walnuts naturally
contain about 65 per cent oil.
Walnut Alkyd Medium
Walnut/Alkyd Medium was developed to provide artist's with a non-toxic,
environmentally responsible alternative to solvent based, rapid drying
alkyd mediums. This is a medium that closely resembles the wonderful combinations
of sun-thickened oil and natural resins used so effectively throughout
the history of art but with the singular advantage of being free from
solvents.
Non Toxic Brush Clean Up
Brushes may be cleaned during and after painting with Walnut Oil with
a final washing in mild detergent if painting will not be resumed for
several days. No harsh thinners or turpentines are required for clean
up. Reduces disposal of harmful chemicals and unnecessary pollution.
Biodegragable Foam Board

Biodegradeable foamboard is the same as regular foamboard.
This standard, paper-faced memory foamboard has a biodegradeable rigid foam center and SFI certified paper liners.
This rigid foamboard breaks down in landfills or composting environments in 1 to 5 years. Formulated with not less than 15% recycled content. Biodegradeable foamboard will not breakdown until the board is discarded.
It is covered with smooth, bright white paper liners formulated from wood products certified by the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI), the largest forestry products certification program in North America.

Taskboard
Nearly a hundred years have passed since it was decided that our timberlands
could no longer be freely exploited. Instead, sustainable forestry would
provide the basis for future operations. Replanting, good forest management
and long-term planning have subsequently led to a very large increase
in timber supplies. This made possible a steady expansion of logging
operations. Today's timber stock is 50% larger than it was when detailed
measurements began in the 1920s.
Since the 1992 Earth Summit meeting in Rio, our concept of sustainability
has broadened. This is reflected in our revised forestry policy that
went into effect in 1994. Today sustainable forestry must not only ensure
a reliable yield of timber and the multiple use of forests, but also
preserve biological diversity.
The forest is a resource which should be managed so that it provides
a good return on a sustainable basis and ensures the preservation of
biodiversity.
Taskboard is an unbleached wood product made of sustainable forestry
